After claiming on Friday that it would hold back following Thursday’s verdict against former President Donald Trump in the Manhattan trial, the Biden team went all out behind schedule in the day and launched a scathing attack on him. I’ll get to that in a moment.
Of course, Trump also had an opinion on the decision of the jury in Manhattan, which he shared in more detail (after Thursday’s remarks) in a press conference on Friday.
We had a preview of the planned turnaround of the campaign from Politico over a week ago, when a report emerged that Team Biden would take grave action against Trump after the verdict.
But all has not been serene up to this point, as readers will probably remember the antics of Oscar winner Robert De Niro outside the courthouse.
In addition, a few minutes after the court decision, a Biden campaign commercial was released, the title of which alone gives an idea of how much it expresses a unifying and hopeful vision of America:

As I said, behind schedule Friday they launched this all-out attack into the world.

Just looking at these articles, the comments seem to be childish and spiteful. Not the product of professionals working in a presidential campaign office. But that is what we seem to expect from Democrats these days.
Axios shared some of the background on the way:
Why it matters: The broadside from Biden’s campaign – in a press release rebuking Trump for his “confused” tirade earlier in the day – puts President Biden in the same camp as many Democrats who are now deriding the ex-president.
…
Zoom in: Throughout Friday, Biden advisers and Democratic strategists in the congressional campaign said they wanted to know more about how Trump’s 34-count conviction would resonate with voters before launching a full-scale attack strategy.
But by the evening, Biden’s campaign team had apparently made up its mind. It sent out a press release that was clearly intended to get under Trump’s skin, listing “34 low points from convicted felon Donald Trump’s speech.”
Biden’s pollster Celinda Lake is enthusiastic about the strategy:
I think it undoubtedly helps Joe Biden because I think it will have some influence on some marginal Republicans.
If this is a character contrast, then the best thing the president can do is act like a president. Keep doing your job, take care of people’s real lives, and let Donald Trump speak for himself.
Let that sink in for a moment. Should Biden just continue to act as president and take care of people’s daily lives? The administration’s own policies and its refusal to comply with the law already disprove that. Most Americans’ economies are in ruins and there is no relief in sight from soaring inflation. No one believes him.
