Vice President Kamala Harris’ team has already shown that it could be one of the most dishonest campaigns in recent history. The candidate’s campaign has already spread countless lofty tales about her political opponents, but the latest lie could be one of the most egregious.
The X-account Kamala’s Wins posted a video of an interview with Republican vice presidential candidate Senator JD Vance (R-OH) on Saturday. In the post, the account claimed that Vance in the video “fully supports Project 2025.”

In the video, Vance can be heard saying that Republicans need to be more aggressive in Congress when it comes to pushing through the party’s agenda.
I think we have to learn from the last decade that we have to be really ruthless in the exercise of power. I was talking to somebody today about this. Republicans in Congress or Senate threatened that they would abolish the filibuster tactic. When you look at that, you think, “This is not so interesting. We are actually going to make good on the promise that we have been making for decades.”
Vance also addressed Democrats’ threats to abolish the filibuster tactic and expand the Supreme Court. The senator went on to say that conservatives have “lost every important powerful institution in the country, except maybe churches and religious institutions.”
We’ve lost substantial business. We’ve lost finance, we’ve lost culture. We’ve lost academia. And if we really want to make real changes in the country, we have to completely replace the existing ruling class with a different ruling class. I say that because I know myself and I hear myself. That sounds really harsh. It is really harsh. But I don’t think there’s any kind of détente with these people. I don’t think we can compromise with the people who actually control the country right now. If we don’t somehow overthrow them, we’re going to keep losing. And that’s the challenge.
What was missing from Vance’s comments was any mention of Project 2025, which has become the fresh bogeyman of the left in recent months, a fact that conservative commentator Ben Domenech, who conducted the interview, was quick to point out. Moreover, this conversation took place in 2021, before Project 2025 was even launched:

This latest lie appears to be part of Team Harris’ overall strategy to deceptively spread panic about Project 2025 ad nauseam, according to the Daily SignalIn fact, Harris’ campaign has essentially admitted that this is an integral part of the vice president’s strategy.
A campaign staffer essentially confessed that her team was intentionally misleading voters by branding all of Trump’s policies as “Project 2025.” The duplicitous nature of this approach was apparently so egregious that even CNN fact-checked Harris’ ridiculous claims.
Project 2025 is a set of policy proposals put together by the Heritage Foundation as a transition plan for a Republican administration. People on the left have used their misrepresentations of the plan to link it to former President Donald Trump in the hopes of getting people to vote against him. If this fresh lie is any indication, though, they haven’t been very successful so far.
