Protests against the enforcement of the immigration authorities have arisen across the country from Seattle and Austin to Chicago and Washington, DC, while many were peaceful, some have led to collisions with the law enforcement authorities. Further protests are planned nationwide this week.

Marines will not be used in Los Angeles on Wednesday
Around 700 Marines still complete civil disorders at the Seal Beach of Naval Weapons Station in Orange County, California, said Major Sherman, head of the task force, who monitors the utilize of the National Guard and Marines in Los Angeles.

Mayor Ron Nirenberg said that the city officials had not asked for the Texas National Guard to be deployed to the city in front of the planned protests on Wednesday evening and on Saturday.
The Republican governor Greg Abbott’s office announced on Tuesday evening that the National Guard troops were “on standby” in areas where demonstrations are planned. That came after the police in Austin used chemical irritants near the State Capitol on Monday to dispel several hundred demonstrators.
The protest on Wednesday evening in San Antonio is said to be in the heart of the city center of the city near the Alamo.
William McManus, chief of police at San Antonio, said that he had not told the governor’s office or the guard how many troops would be in the city where they are positioned or what they will do. The governor’s office has not published these details publicly.
McManus said the city police were ready to treat security problems with the demonstration.
“We are prepared for a peaceful demonstration, but we are also prepared when something goes south and it becomes violent,” said McManus.
Immigrant communities have rattled
Immigration attacks in Southern California rattle the region’s immigrant communities, even among the legal lands in the country. More than 100 people have been detained since Friday.

Trump says he is open to the uprising act
