While most on the right breathe a sigh of relief at former (and now incoming) President Donald Trump’s decisive victory on Tuesday, many on the left (those who didn’t lose him outright) are wondering what went wrong. They are expressing concern about what Trump 2.0 will mean – especially in the context of Trump’s search for “revenge” on his (numerous) political enemies.
This is understandable given the volume and tenor of Democratic messaging in the final weeks of the election: “Trump is a threat to our democracy!” “Trump has vowed to use the military against his political enemies/the American people!” “Trump admires Hitler.” “Trump Is Hitler!” Unfortunately, there is a significant portion of the left-leaning population that accepts this narrative – and no, I am not here to denigrate them, although I would (figuratively) like to bash the left-wing media for opposing it drums fought relentlessly and frightened people.
Voters seem to believe that the real threat to democracy is not Donald Trump. Here’s why they blame the Democrats.

BREAM: Let’s talk about his critics, who are issuing ominous warnings now that he’s re-elected president. David French writes in the New York Times: “If Trump tells the truth about his intentions…then he will launch a campaign of retaliation and mass deportation that will divide families…create chaos in American communities and may even lead to active-duty troops.” who will be stationed in our cities.” Here’s what your colleague in the House of Representatives, Democratic Congressman Ritchie Torres, had to say: “One of the fundamental differences between his first presidency and his subsequent presidency is the fact that he now has absolute immunity enjoys, and he shines on it “To be careful to take revenge on your politician’s enemies.” How do you respond to Americans who say they are now afraid of a second Trump presidency?
DONALDS: To the American people who have listened to these lies from the Democratic left, I want to say that Donald Trump has never spoken to them or committed to doing so. There is no “enemy list”. I mean, yes, there are people who were against him, but he’s focused on the American people. Task number one is to secure our border and begin deporting illegal immigrants from our country. Task number two is to make our country prosper again and become a pioneer in the energy sector again. That’s his focus – his focus is on the American people, not on an “enemies list” that only gets talked about in The Daily Kos or Salon.com or other places like that. He’s focused on making our country great, and what’s going to happen in our country is: success will be the measure by which he will show that he’s back in the White House and back in charge of leading this nation . The measure is success – there is no other measure.
