The left and its allies in the media continue to lose their minds over Joe Biden essentially going after the Democratic Party “on his own” and endangering President-elect Donald Trump with Biden’s eleventh-hour decision to issue him a “full and unconditional pardon.” to grant, modern material provides son, convicted felon Hunter Biden.
As we’ve reported, Democrats are in complete disarray, with some either shamelessly trying to justify themselves or self-servingly trying to distance themselves from the lame-duck president’s actions, a move that confirms he was lying, when he told the American people that he would respect him, uphold the rule of law and not interfere in his son’s cases.
Others on the left and in the press, as we have also noted, have taken the “If Trump and the Republicans never have to take the high road, then why should we?” argument to a comical level.

As it turns out, it was the latter argument that caused a stir in a “View” segment on Wednesday when co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who had freshly applauded Biden the day before, picked a fight with left-wing radio host/icon Charlamagne Tha God relating Biden’s lie about not pardoning his son is a lie:
GOLDBERG: Just because you don’t know it was a lie. We don’t know why he changed his mind.
CHARLAMAGNE: Do you really think he suddenly changed his mind over Thanksgiving weekend?
GOLDBERG: No. I’ll tell you what I think. I think he changed his mind because he was tired of watching everyone else get over it.
[Applause]
And he – that’s just my feeling, because at some point you get to the point where you just say, “So I’m always going to follow the straight and narrow because that’s what Democrats are expected to do?”
CHARLAMAGNE: But that’s her fault. They’re the ones who go out there, and they stand on that moral high ground. They don’t have to do that.
GOLDBERG: I’m a Democrat. Tell me what the moral high ground is.
CHARLAMAGNE: The moral high ground is, “No one is above the law.” “I respect what the jury says.” He didn’t have to do that.

GOLDBERG: Yes, people criticized [Trump] more. I criticized him more. We all criticized him more. But you’re missing my question. My question is what makes people turn things around? [self-censors] with Joe out, but we don’t have the same thing?
CHARLAMAGNE: Well, I don’t think people are freaking out about Joe. I think the Democrats are freaking out on Joe because they think they don’t represent what he currently represents, but that’s just not true. That’s why I say they stand on this moral high ground that doesn’t exist.

Charlamagne is 100 percent right about the Democrats having no moral stand to stand on. This is a point I made previously in response to reports that Democrats are dismayed by Biden’s actions because they feel it gives Trump the moral high ground. The party that advocates for abortion on demand, life-changing gender reassignment surgeries for children and men in women’s sports and protected spaces is not standing on high ground.
Additionally, Goldberg insinuated that Democrats always played nice while Republicans got away with everything, which is hilarious considering the hoax over Russia-Trump collusion and the four years of impeachment when Trump was in office.
Then there were the sitting Democratic president’s administration’s four years of federally mandated legal battles against his potential GOP opponent in 2024 — all of which culminated in two politically motivated attempts on Trump’s life within two months, with one of them an attempted assassin Use language almost identical to that of Democratic leaders and hysteria-prone TV talk show hosts when describing Trump.
In any case, even though Goldberg is once again dead wrong (and woefully ill-informed) on a political issue, she has stopped smearing Staten Island’s reputable bakeries with false accusations. This is a step in the right direction, I think.
