Memphis, tenn. (AP) – President Donald Trump’s announcement that he will send troops to Portland, agents who collapse with demonstrators near an immigration authority in a suburb in Chicago, and the expected arrival of the National Guard in Memphis are the latest examples of current and possible law enforcement authorities in the US cities.
Trump said on Saturday on social media that he led the Ministry of Defense to “deliver all the necessary troops to protect war officials Portland”. Trump said the decision was necessary to protect the institutions of the US immigration and customs authorities. His announcement was launched by Oregon’s democratic governor.

In the meantime, Republican governor Bill Lee said that federal authorities, including immigration and drug authorities, are expected to arrive in Memphis this coming week.
The movements follow Trump’s crimes in the Columbia district and Los Angeles in response to immigration protests that became violent with the arrival of troops.
Here is an overview of the federal government’s potential and current law enforcement activities in Portland, Chicago and Memphis.

Trump previously threatened to send the national guard to Chicago, but does not have to go through.
Memphis
Trump said at the beginning of this month that he created a task force by the federal law enforcement authorities to combat crimes in Memphis. Lee, the governor, said publicly that he would not expect more than 150 members of the National Guard to be sent to Memphis, although he said that the numbers were not fixed. The city said on Friday that there would be no tanks. The guard forces will not be arrested and are not armed, unless the local authorities request this, said Lee on Friday.
It is unclear when alive members will arrive. Lee also said that 300 Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers will be in the region.
