Was there a more desperate moment during the 2024 presidential campaign than when comedian Tony Hinchcliffe took the stage at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in overdue October and told a joke about Puerto Rico? Of course, it wasn’t the joke that was desperate, but the left’s reaction to it. They are so completely humorless that they blame you comedian for tell a joke.
As a reminder, here’s something Hinchcliffe said:
“There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this, but right now there is literally a floating island of trash in the middle of the ocean. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,” Hinchcliffe said on stage Sunday, sparking mixed reactions from the audience.
The desperation came to the fore when Kamala Harris’ campaign, lacking creativity, authenticity, inspiration and enthusiasm, tried to turn the joke into a campaign issue. The “informed” told us that this would drown Trump – who actually didn’t make the joke – with Hispanics. These predictions turned out to be spectacularly wrong.
CNN’s Harry Enten reports that Donald Trump is the first Republican presidential candidate to win a majority of male Latino voters since exit polls began.

Donald Trump and the Republicans did so well with Hispanics that Republican Jenniffer González Colón actually did so well chosen Governor of Puerto Rico. Nothing more will be possible until 2024.
After false outrage from Democrats over his joke, Tony Hinchcliffe refused to apologize for being a comedian who told a joke on a political stage. proverb“I apologize to absolutely no one.”

Here’s what he said in the clip above:
“Last night I gave a speech about freedom of expression. I’m currently under attack, I’m the headline. I referenced Puerto Rico, which currently has a landfill problem, and unfortunately I’m the only person who knew about it.”
I just want to say that I love Puerto Ricans. They are intelligent people and intelligent enough to know when they are being used as political fodder, and that is happening right now.
I apologize to absolutely no one.
Not for Puerto Ricans;
Not for the white people;
Not for black people;
Not for the Palestinians;
Not for the Jews; And,
Not to my own mother
To the mainstream media and those who try to slander me online: I’m coming down challenging and that will never change.
Hinchcliffe too addressed the matter on Monday’s episode of his popular comedy podcast “Kill Tony.” While he acknowledged that a political rally a week before an election might not be the right place or time to make the joke, he again refused to apologize.
[Puerto Rico] currently has a landfill problem where all landfills are filled to the brim. I guess unfortunately I’m the only one who knew about it.
Other than that, I love Puerto Ricans. They are very intelligent people. They’re intelligent, they’re street intelligent, and they’re intelligent enough to know when they’re being used as political fodder. This is happening right now. I apologize to absolutely no one. Not for the Puerto Ricans, not for the whites, not for the blacks, not for the Palestinians, not for the Jews and not for my own mother, who I made fun of during the set.
Nobody cut that. No headlines about me making fun of my own mother. Maybe this venue wasn’t the best place to do this set at that time. But regardless, to the mainstream media and anyone who tries to slander me online: This is what I do and that will never change.”
Tony Hinchcliffe is right to weigh in on this issue, and the lesson is clear and worth repeating: never bend the knee to the incensed mob.
