Tom Cotton simply decimates ‘deranged fanatic’ Jack Smith and says latest action is ‘election interference’

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton (AR) clashed Sunday with NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker over the release of special counsel Jack Smith’s 165-page filing against Donald Trump on Oct. 2, in which was about election interference before and after the 2020 presidential election.

Following a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, Smith argued that Trump’s conduct as a candidate and not official conduct of the President of the United States.

The Senator from Arkansas blown up Smith’s unsealed legal brief as a “temperamentantrum” – and more.

Well, what I think about what Jack Smith did this week is that it was a tantrum from a crazy fanatic who is furious that he keeps losing in the Supreme Court throughout his career.

Beautifully played and just right. Smith has been on a vendetta against Trump from the start, and the stupider he looks, the stupider his next actions will be.

Cotton told Welker that Smith’s actions so close to the election constituted election interference.

This is uncorroborated, uncross-examined hearsay from grand jury testimony and, for this reason, is not normally released publicly. He went to court. He requested special permission to file a brief four times the length of a regular brief and to publish that brief less than 30 days before the election. This is most likely professional misconduct on the part of Jack Smith and should be investigated.

Prediction: It will never happen.

Cotton argued this succinctly Trump did not incite violence, as Smith alleges in his filing, but urged demonstrators outside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 to “protest peacefully and patriotically” and again found Smith guilty of election interference.

This is a perfect example of actual election interference: Jack Smith violating Justice Department rules to release as much uncorroborated, so-called evidence as possible because he’s furious that he lost and the Democrats believe they Donald can’t beat Trump on issues like inflation and immigration.

Democrats are convinced Harris can’t beat Trump on inflation and the economy, and for good reason.

As my colleague Sister Toldjah reported at the end of September, a Susquehanna Survey of voters in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state, found that Trump trumped Harris on inflation and the broader economy by 23 points, 57-23.

And Trump also dominates the ongoing illegal alien disaster – also known as the Biden-Harris border crisis.

In a recent example in Wisconsin, another key state, Trump led Harris on border security 49 percent to 37 percent. Why Harris got 37 percent, which would be a mystery if it weren’t for the truism that Democrats apparently hate Trump more than America.

When Welker finally asked Cotton whether Trump actually lost the 2020 election, the senator deftly replied:

There were states that changed their voting practices or election laws, sometimes in violation of the Constitution. They had networks that worked with Big Tech to suppress what we now know to be a true story about Hunter Biden’s laptop and the evidence of Biden family corruption it revealed.

Let’s call Cotton’s answer an example of skillfully walking a tightrope.
