Donald Trump is thrilled with the Supreme Court’s critical decision on Monday, which ruled 6-3 that a president enjoys immunity from prosecution for his official acts. All three liberal justices dissented.

The ruling is a blow to special counsel Jack Smith’s cases against the former president.

Trump used Truth Social to celebrate his huge victory and criticize Joe Biden for using the justice system as a weapon against his political opponents. Around 11 a.m. he posted:

GREAT VICTORY FOR OUR CONSTITUTION AND DEMOCRACY. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

At lunchtime he had more to say:

Today’s historic Supreme Court decision should put an end to the entire witch hunt against me by fraudulent Joe Biden, including the New York hoax – the Manhattan FRAUD hatched by Soros-backed District Attorney Alvin Bragg, racist New York Attorney General Tish James’s shameless ATTACK on the amazing business I built, and the FAKE Bergdorf “case.” I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

He still feels good, he added one more an hour later:

The Supreme Court has completely dismissed most of the charges against me. Joe Biden should now call back his “dogs”. Our country should now refocus on GREATNESS!

Normally I would embed posts like this in the story, but that’s not happening right now. It’s unclear if Truth Social is having technical issues or is experiencing a lot of traffic. However, you can see the posts via the links above.

The Supreme Court’s decision – which is already causing great excitement among Democrats – will likely be debated and analyzed for years to come.

BREAKING NEWS: Supreme Court rules on presidential immunity

Democrats rip off the mask and call for violence because they thought the Supreme Court decisions gave them “King Biden” (VIP)

Susie Moore of RedState explains the significance of the decision:

In a 6-3 VerdictThe court ruled that a former president enjoys absolute immunity for his core constitutional powers. In addition, former presidents are entitled to at least a presumption of immunity for their official acts. However, there is no immunity for unofficial acts.

Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the court, laid out the decision that is likely to confuse those on both/all sides of the dispute, at least to some degree, by sending the case back to the lower courts to determine which of the actions in question are “official” or “unofficial.”

Republican politicians joined Trump in praising the court’s decision, with House Speaker Mike Johnson calling it a “victory for former President Trump and all future presidents, and another defeat for President Biden’s armed Justice Department and Jack Smith.”

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall said it protects future presidents and their ability to hold office:

The Democrats, as I mentioned, are already beside themselves, and we are seeing more and more crazy reactions like this one from AOC:

Representative. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) announced on Monday that she will soon begin impeachment proceedings against at least one Supreme Court justice, following her Decision on granting partial immunity to former President Trump, who is facing felony charges for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Ocasio-Cortez, a prominent liberal on the House Oversight Committee, said the ruling contradicts a central premise of the American Constitution – that no one is above the law – and threatens to put the country on a path to tyranny.

Jake Tapper argues Supreme Court immunity ruling means Biden can assassinate his rivals

It is unclear what Jack Smith’s next step will be, but one can only assume that he will terrible, horrible, not a good, very bad day– which is a good thing for those of us who believe Merrick Garland and Co. are using the Justice Department as a unsafe, un-American political weapon.
