Trump, whose characteristic tough stance on immigration has been the focus of his presidential campaigns, expressed support for the program in a letter Interview with the New York Post.
On Saturday, Trump told the Post by phone:
“I always liked the visas, I was always for the visas. That’s why we have them.”
Trump continued:
“I have many H-1B visas for my properties. I am a believer in H-1B. I’ve used it many times. It’s a great program.”

Yes, the H-1B system can be fixed, but it requires many reforms
In one Thursday post on XRamaswamy offered pointed cultural criticism of the American tech workforce, arguing that a culture that values mediocrity over excellence has hindered American competitiveness in fields such as technology and engineering.
He wrote:
“Our American culture has worshiped mediocrity over excellence for far too long (at least since the 1990s and probably longer). It doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG.”
A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the math Olympian or the athlete over the valedictorian will not produce the best engineers.”
The debate intensified on Friday when Musk went so far as to declare that he would “go to war” over the issue and told an online critic to “go fuck himself.”
But the billionaire also admitted that the program needed reformswrite:
“I have been very clear that the program is broken and needs major reform.”
This can be easily remedied by significantly increasing the minimum salary and adding annual costs of maintaining the H1B, making it significantly more high-priced to hire employees abroad than domestically.
