Former President Trump’s plane was diverted to Billings, Montana, on Friday due to a mechanical problem, a Billings airport official said.
The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to hold a rally in nearby Bozeman, Montana, on Friday night and is still expected to make it there.
The local FOX affiliate reported that “it is not clear if Trump will fly on to Bozeman or ride in a motorcade.” Brian Springer, CEO of the Bozeman airport, told them that “Trump’s plane landed in Billings and the motorcade that was supposed to land him in Bozeman has left.”
After landing, Trump shared a video on Truth Social ahead of his rally and fundraiser in the state, but did not mention the problem with the plane:
