As RedState reported, the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit against Fulton, Gwinnett, DeKalb and Cobb counties in Georgia for opening their election offices to accept ballots after early voting ended, in violation of Georgia election law. Those counties also barred GOP poll watchers from entering the premises. On Saturday, a judge ruled on whether to allow election observers, but the issue of ballots collected by these offices over the weekend was still pending.
On Sunday, the Trump-Vance campaign, the Republican National Committee and the Georgia Republican Party filed additional state and federal lawsuits Injunctive relief against Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Athens-Clarke, Clayton and Chatham counties. The file cited violations of state election law that led to unequal treatment Voters in Georgia.
The Trump-Vance campaign, RNC and Georgia GOP have filed lawsuits in state and federal courts challenging several Georgia counties that illegally remained open to accepting mail-in ballots over the weekend after early voting ended.
Early voting nationwide had to end on Friday, November 1st. At the last minute, several heavily Democratic counties announced they would open their offices to receive mail-in ballots over the weekend. This is illegal, so we immediately filed a lawsuit in state court. In a victory for election integrity, counties have backed away from their plans to keep drop boxes open over the weekend, but we continue to fight the illegal reopening of the centers in state and federal courts.
This is a clear, partisan violation of the law aimed at furthering Democratic efforts in Georgia. With just two days until our country’s most critical election, it is critical for officials to follow the law and conduct the election in a fair and limpid manner.
These actions by some Georgia counties are simply undermining the security of our elections and fueling distrust in the process. Georgia must take immediate action to protect the vote.
Former president and Republican nominee Donald Trump made a final push into Georgia on Sunday evening with a rally in Macon with his surrogates Bruce Levell, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. Trump’s guest was Carmen Ramirez, the mother of Mimi Ramirez-Rodriguez, a social media influencer who was kidnapped and murdered by her an illegal alien.
Mimi Ramirez-Rodriguez was kidnapped and murdered by an illegal immigrant – leaving behind a 9-year-old girl. I met her grieving mother, Carmen, in Georgia this evening. With your vote on Tuesday, we will end Kamala’s invasion and we will not allow illegals to shed a drop of American blood. pic.twitter.com/BEt6r0LvNy

Provisional ballots are infrequent in Georgia. When the polls close at 7 p.m. on November 5 and Election Day, early voting and absentee ballots show a margin of more than 5,000 votes, the race is typically called.
