Brendan Carr, President-elect Donald Trump’s next chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), appeared on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” and vowed to shut down the Big Tech “censorship cartel” that has silenced so many Americans has many (almost exclusively conservative) news outlets.

Trump’s appointee sounded like him I didn’t come to play games:

“Fighting technology censorship will be a top priority for me. We must restore Americans’ right to free speech,” he said “Sunday Morning Futures” Guest host Jackie DeAngelis.

“You [DeSangelis] mentions Facebook and other companies. They were part of a censorship cartel that worked with advertisers. They have worked with government officials to censor the free speech rights of ordinary Americans, and that must stop because censorship is not just about stopping work. It’s about stopping ideas.”

Carr continued, saying that if you violate our free speech, you are actually standing in the way of America’s prosperity:

“America is a country of founders, of people who pushed boundaries. They innovated, and when you silence speech, you also silence ideas, and we will unleash America’s prosperity again. That’s why you feel this mood changing in the country, where people know that President Trump will lead another great American comeback because this wet blanket of government control will fall away and our economy will thrive again.”

Her group then filed a member comment to the FCC in 2021 asking whether Republicans should be shot for their views. My decision to stand up for Americans’ right to free speech and against the censorship cartel is not about threats, but about enforced silence.

Google, Twitter (before Elon Musk bought it and changed its name to X), Meta/Facebook and others were notorious for censoring opinions that deviated from the official line – often at the behest of the Biden-Harris regime. This was particularly true during the COVID pandemic, when any mention of the origins of the virus or the effectiveness and/or dangers of the mRNA vaccines was likely to get you removed from the platform or canceled. One way the tech overlords are trying to shut down sites like ours, where we bring you the truth, is by demonetizing us (that is, refusing to run ads on the site when one of our writers opts out doesn’t follow the rules).

The censorship environment has improved somewhat since COVID was mostly in the rearview mirror and after the lies from the government and major media came to featherlight after people became infected with COVID after getting a shot despite being told to , they wouldn’t, and then Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance in which he destroyed the mainstream narrative that he was keen.

When it was discovered that the emperor had no clothes, it became harder for them to suppress stories about things that were obviously true. That being said, they can and do censor regularly if they feel like it. If Elon Musk hadn’t shown up and fought for free speech on the X platform, we might have been expecting a Kamala Harris administration in January.

I am extremely confident that Carr can win this fight, as Big Tech, Big Government, and Big Media’s insidious efforts against free speech have given us arguably one of the most divisive and destructive presidents in the history of the United States – none other than, of course Joe Biden.

Let the dogs go, Brendan.
