As we have reported extensively here at RedState, one of failed President Joe Biden’s most enduring and damaging legacies is that his disastrous border policies have allowed – some would say welcomed – untold numbers of illegal immigrants into this country.

One of Donald Trump’s main selling points during his campaign was that he promised not just to stop the flow, but to reverse it.

On Monday, he apparently confirmed that he would apply the military to push illegals back to where they came from.

It started when Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton posted on social media earlier this month:

The president-elect responded Monday with uncomplicated words:

Trump has long promised that deportations would be high on his list of priorities – much to the chagrin of liberals who appear to have no interest in protecting our border or checking who exactly is in our country – but the question is how Exactly this should be achieved is the subject of much debate. Now maybe we have it an idea:

Why it matters: Trump made his promise to deport millions of undocumented immigrants a cornerstone of his 2024 campaign, and his team has already begun developing a strategy for implementing his plan.

  • A Truth Social post early Monday marks the first time the president-elect has confirmed how his administration will implement the controversial plan.

The plans are taking shape:

The gigantic picture: There are estimates 11 million undocumented immigrants Trumps living in the US are expected to carry out mass deportations Impact on around 20 million families across the country.

  • Immigration advocates and lawyers are prepare to oppose the plan in court.
  • The president-elect’s team is eager to craft executive orders that will withstand legal challenges to avoid a defeat similar to Trump’s Ban Muslims in his first term Politically reported.
  • According to Politico, their plans also include ending the parole program for undocumented immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

Among the many names he has already put forward as members of his future cabinet, immigration activists are at the top of the list:

Zoom out: Trump has also already begun filling his cabinet positions with immigration hardliners.

  • This includes taps Tom Homanthe former acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to serve as his “border czar.”
  • Trump also nominated the governor of South Dakota. Kristi Noem as his secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

“There is nothing like this in a positive sense in previous cabinets,” said close Trump ally Tom Fitton, leader of the Conservatives @JudicialWatch.

“These agencies are corrupt and desiccated shells when it comes to ethics and public trust. I think the Senate’s opposition (to Trump’s recommendations) is overblown. I think they will all probably be confirmed or put into office through other means like recess appointments, but I think it will be easier than people think now.”

Expect Democrats and even some timid Republicans to try to stop Trump’s agenda, but momentum is on his side with his landslide victory over the incompetent Kamala Harris, and he has shown with his Cabinet choices that he is not going back to DC to to play softball.
