I reported on the sensational video in which former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) admitted responsibility for the lack of security at the Capitol as she left on January 6. She also said that they should have been responsible, but did not.
The video was recorded by her daughter for an HBO documentary about January 6, but was only released to the public a few days ago. The House Administration Oversight Committee released it after receiving it from HBO.
Pelosi responded to the release of the video with ridiculousness and despair, calling it a “revisionist history” by Republicans. This sparked a lot of ridicule from people. How could her own words be “revisionist history”?
Meanwhile, Steven Sund, the former chief of the Capitol Police at the time of the riots, responded to the video and attacked them, saying that he had asked for the National Guard several times and had been turned away.

As Rebecca Downs on sister site Townhall.com noted, Quoting George Washington Law professor Jonathan Turley, he blasted Pelosi and the J6 committee, criticizing them for focusing too much on attacking former President Donald Trump and covering up evidence like this:
Had Pelosi and others accepted the assistance of the National Guard and erected fencing, as was done at the White House, the riots on January 6 would likely not have occurred, and any disruptions would have been far less severe. The fact that the J6 committee downplayed this major factor in the unrest further undermines the way Democratic leadership designed the investigation. Pelosi excluded the GOP members selected for the committee and chose two Republicans who were hostile to Trump.
The lack of any balance in the Committee was evident from the outset. There was little effort to present alternative explanations or defenses to critical issues raised in the hearings. No counter-witnesses were called to contradict the Committee’s account, including witnesses who frequently repeated, false claim that Trump wrestled with his driver for control of the presidential limousine to drive to the Capitol.
Exactly.
They didn’t care about the truth. What they cared about was attacking Trump and having something to attack Republicans with before the midterm elections.
Sund added a little to his original answer, saying that it was Pelosi’s responsibility and that she had undermined his law enforcement authority. But after the riots, he changed the law so that he now has to go to the Sergeant at Arms.
Pelosi should take responsibility! She interfered in the security decision-making process and her Sergeant at Arms denied my requests for assistance before and during the chaos on January 6th. She undermined my authority as a law enforcement officer. #Accountability #jan6
They want proof: Why have they changed… https://t.co/zLgp0qVHtg

So he points the finger directly at her.
Now the Republican Party in the House is asking the right questions, and it’s coming out. Pelosi and the Democrats can try to twist it, but it exposes their narrative.
