Vulnerable Democratic Senator sums it up: “President Biden must prove he is up to the task”

I must admit that I don’t know much about Democratic Senator Jon Tester of Montana, but by the looks of him, he’s a no-nonsense, results-oriented guy. Even if I don’t, I do know this: Like a growing number of Democratic lawmakers, Tester, who is running for reelection in a state Donald Trump won twice, is terrified by the prospect of Joe Biden leading the Democratic ticket in November.

tester said in a statement on Monday:

President Biden must prove to the American people – including to me – that he is fit for another four years in office. In the meantime, I will continue to do what I have always done: stand up to President Biden when he is wrong and protect our Montana way of life.

With his statement, Tester clearly conveyed two messages.

First, the senator, like a growing number of Democratic lawmakers, urged Biden to either get his way or keep still. Second, he told his Democratic supporters in Montana that he doubted Biden was mentally fit enough to continue in the race.

Will it work – for Tester or another Democrat running for re-election? I have no idea, but I knowledge these people are scared to death.

In addition, after the Cooking reportTester has a good chance of being replaced in November by Republican candidate Tim Sheehy, a former Navy SEAL. Cook classifies the race as “undecided.”

In related news, former Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) discussed the aftermath of Biden’s humiliating performance during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” using two sports analogies to illustrate why Biden must go.

If it’s a sporting event and you throw three interceptions, the coach takes the quarterback out. If you’re a pitcher who’s not doing his job and who keeps hitting home runs, the manager steps in and takes the pitcher out.

Having pitched in more than a few games back then, I know the feeling.

Tim Ryan on Biden’s continued presence in the race: “They throw three interceptions, the coach pulls the quarterback out”

The only problem with Ryan’s analogies is that Biden doesn’t have a coach – but he does have a supposed “Dr.” Jill, who is more fewer. Virtually everyone in the world who understands the active between the Bidens knows that the good doctor is pulling the strings – even to the point of elder abuse, in my not-so-humble opinion.

When Mrs. Doktor said on Monday that her controversial husband was “all in” – while she was on the campaign trail, mind you – it was clear, at least for the moment, that Joe was not going anywhere.

Jill Biden confirms that Biden will not resign – which could lead to even more power struggles within the Democrats

Yes, if Joe is all in, why isn’t he He Campaign instead of his power-hungry wife?

How reassuring for the frightened Democratic representatives who are facing re-election in November.

The conclusion

Even though Joe (Jill) Biden steadfastly asserts that the ailing president will not give up his re-election effort, my gut feeling tells me that at the end of the proverbial day, that is exactly what he will do.

What will it take, if so? I have no idea. But I know that if someone can convince Mrs. Biden that her Call- her place in the story – can be saved if she convinces Joe (makes the decision himself) to get out. She will pounce on it like her husband pounces on an ice cream cone.
