Bill Maher sometimes does everything right.
As we previously reported, he attacked those in the media who lied about President Donald Trump’s comments about former congresswoman Liz Cheney and criticized anyone who suggested it was a threat.

He also said Joe Biden’s comment calling Trump supporters “garbage” was much bigger than some thought:

“I think it’s a bigger faux pas than people think,” the “Real Time” host said during his panel discussion. “It’s so funny, Joe Biden, his whole career he was like Mr. Gaffe, and then at the very end – he’s like Aaron Judge [in Game 5 of the World Series]. He just blew the fly ball and ended up blowing the whole thing [game].”
“Because I feel like it embodies everything the Trump people hate about the Democrats. They look down on us. It’s like ‘deplorable’ times ten,” Maher added.
Podcaster Michael Moynihan agreed it was an “incredible own goal” and then excusing it with an apostrophe was ridiculous when the meaning was clear. It was revealed that they argued against reality and would lie to preserve their own power. Things are not looking good in the final days of the campaign.
Maher also said he thought the Democrats might not have looked good because of their reaction to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke: “Did the Democrats look weak because they couldn’t take a joke?” Maher asked. “Because I think that’s another Achilles heel they have.” Actually, that’s exactly right.
Maher is probably right, as Biden’s comment appears to have sparked interest in Google Trends, as we reported. It gets a lot more attention when Biden insults millions of Americans than when some comedian makes a joke.
Then Trump drew even more attention when he masterfully rode in a garbage truck and donned an orange vest.

NEW: White House edited Biden’s ‘garbage’ transcript over stenographer’s objections, allegedly a crime
Not only did Biden’s comment offend millions of Americans and pressure people to vote, it also led to a scandal when Biden and the White House changed the transcript of what he actually said. Now the House Oversight Committee is urging them to correct the record and keep the records.
“To date, the White House has not issued a corrected transcript, and the incorrect transcript remains on the White House website,” wrote House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Oversight Chairman James Comer (R- Ky.). On Friday, he sent a letter to the White House counsel’s office asking him to preserve all documents related to the protocol.
Stefanik and Comer noted an Associated Press report that cited an internal email from the head of the stenographer’s office that said Biden’s press office had “consulted with the president” about changing the protocol.
The stenographer’s office had complained “Deprivation of transcript integrity” and a “violation of protocol” by the press office after Biden, 81, said in a campaign call with the group Voto Latino that “the only trash I see floating out there is his.” [Trump’s] supporters,” the report said.
Not a good end to Kamala Harris’ campaign.
