If you’re being judged for lying, if you keep digging yourself into a hole and the only answer you have to come out of is that you’re a fool, then maybe you have a Tim Walz problem.
Add to that the fact that you say you’re friends with school shooters, and maybe you just screwed up the election.
That was the problem Tim Walz had after his debate with JD Vance on Tuesday night.
My colleague Sister Toldjah reported on some of the reactions.

HOT TAKES: Democrats and media seethe as Republicans cheer after Vance dominates vice presidential debate
One of the most fascinating reactions came from CNN. We noted some of what Abby Philip said about JD Vance landing punches, and Tim Walz didn’t seem prepared for it.
CNN: “JD Vance came to throw a lot of punches, and he did!”

Then John King said that Vance represented the economy and immigration, generally the top issues in most polls. Those are the two substantial issues that are a problem for Kamala Harris, and Vance has just decimated her on those counts.
KING: “Vance has it done” on the two most critical issues of the race: the economy and immigration. pic.twitter.com/vILQsYBgRs

If CNN is forced to say that, you know what a defeat it was.
Then Scott Jennings completely destroyed Walz.
CNN’s @ScottJenningsKY on the #VPDebate: “It’s pretty clear that Vance outperformed Walz tonight. I mean, I watched it and all I could think about was – man, Walz is so overwhelmed. I mean, can you imagine that guy sitting in the White House? Room with that facial… pic.twitter.com/AfbysS07zp

“It’s pretty clear that Vance outclassed Walz tonight,” Jennings said.
“I mean, I looked at it and all I could think about was – man, Walz is so overwhelmed. I mean, can you imagine this guy sitting in the Situation Room at the White House and having this expression on his face that’s about 50%? Terrible terror and 50% extreme confusion? I mean, it was amazing the difference between a competent Vance and a completely overwhelmed Walz.
The answer to why he lied about his trips to China and the Tiananmen Square thing was probably the worst vice-debate meltdown since Stockdale in 1992: “Who am I and why am I here?” It was two and a half Minutes absolutely terrible.
It was that reaction, the “knucklehead” reaction, where at the end he still said he was in Hong Kong and China during the “democracy protests,” which wasn’t true. What a mess it was, including his “service” riding his bike.
CBS: You lied about being in China during Tiananmen Square. What do you say?
Tim Walz: “Growing up, I rode bikes with friends.”
This is absolutely painful to watch.pic.twitter.com/pDUXkwmJgO

None of this answered why he lied about it. Why would anyone hire someone who is so confused?
Jennings pointed to the media “charade” regarding Vance and Walz.
“This charade is over now. This charade is now over. Walz does not belong at this level of American politics. Vance does. Final verdict? Tim Walz went to the wrong bar tonight.”
