At a campaign event in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday, Republican vice presidential candidate Senator JD Vance (R-OH) made particular point; as it took place at a manufacturing company that supplies the US military. He brought up not only the penniless way the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has treated veterans in the wake of the porous crisis at the southern border, but also the botched U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan What remains a shameful and revealing legacy of the United States is continued negligence by the sitting vice president.
Vance spoke to supporters “at JWF Industries, which, according to its location, “supplies Department of Defense prime contractors with reliable, on-time manufacturing and subassemblies.”
He made a connection between the strength of America’s industrial workforce and the way our country helped the Allied powers win World War II:
.@JDVance: “Why did we win the Second World War? Of course we had the bravest people and the best troops, but we had the industrial power in the world. No one could compete with America’s manufacturing sector. That’s what we have to get back.” Otherwise we’ll lose the next major… pic.twitter.com/20UCArZBaZ

Vance also addressed the VA, which appears to be working harder to house and assist illegal immigrants than our brave veterans, some of whom are abandoned and homeless on America’s streets:

He also spoke about former President Donald Trump’s recent housing initiative, which would help more Americans achieve the American dream of homeownership instead of the federal government handing out more handouts to sway Democratic voters.

When Vance spoke about Afghanistan, he reminded everyone that despite the fact that Americans were killed in the debacle, no one in the Defense Department’s top leadership has yet been held accountable:
.@JDVance: I had to fact check because I couldn’t believe it, but how many people in the Department of Defense were fired after the withdrawal from Afghanistan? Zero – For people who just want their government to function properly, you can’t do that unless you fire the people who… pic.twitter.com/0Q0HA6O1eC

The way he did it was like someone taking a tire iron to a row of dilapidated whitewalls on the side of the road. He said:
Let’s return to the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. You know, it’s so sorrowful because these are newborn people in the prime of their lives… And of course 13 of them lost their lives.
I’ve spoken to many families, the mothers and fathers, the sisters of these handsome newborn Americans, and you know what they’ll tell you?
…
What they are upset about is the lack of accountability that followed. I had to check the facts because I couldn’t believe it.
How many in the Defense Department bureaucracy, in the senior leadership, how many were laid off after this disastrous withdrawal?
Zero.
However, Senator Vance wasn’t just talking about the military or building up-to-date homes. Vance had a message to all Americans about the importance of the American Dream, which attracts legal immigrants from around the world, and about the future of our country – including the promise of creating the fertile ground for “children to dream” their biggest dreams:
.@JDVance: “The American Dream probably means a hundred different things to a hundred different people, but I think the common thread is that we all want to give our children and grandchildren a better life than we had. That’s where we fail the most – you.” I want to live in a… pic.twitter.com/EGDUIa2d28
