Things are heating up in the U.S. Senate as Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) sees his days as majority leader rapidly dwindling. With the prospect of a 53-seat Republican majority looming and Donald Trump poised to return to the White House, Schumer is vowing to exploit the final days of Democratic rule to push through as many far-left judicial nominees as possible.

One of those nominees, U.S. Judge Mustafa T. Kasubhai of Oregon, appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday in a last-ditch effort by Democrats to bring as many radical activist judges like Kasubhai to the federal bench before the recent judge in Congress will be on Sworn in January 3, 2025. It’s really one of the few powers left to the neutered Democratic Party.

Judge Kasubhai is a real piece of work. The Democrats tried press by his admission to the U.S. District Court, which is a lifetime appointment, for well over a year. Kasubhai is as radical as they come, and Republicans fought difficult against his nomination.

Take this for example interaction between Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and Kasubhai at a confirmation hearing in October 2023:

“You included the following in your remarks: ‘DEI – diversity, equity and inclusion – is the heart and soul of the court system. Can we say that? Yes, I just did that and I say it proudly,’” Lee quoted the candidate as saying. “Judge, could you explain what that means?”

Kasubhai replied: “Access to justice is at the heart of my work in the courtroom, ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and dignity when they enter the courtroom and that I preside over cases.”

Kasubhai, the first Muslim American appointed to the federal bench, was back on Capitol Hill on Thursday, and this time everyone’s favorite Southern senator, John Kennedy (R-LA), had some things to discuss with Judge Kasubhai. Why Kasubhai for example throb that those who appear at his court indicate their pronouns?

It’s always entertaining to see Senator Kennedy at work, and this was no exception.

KENNEDY: Judge Kasubhai, I’m looking at an order that you issued as a judge here mandating the exploit of pronouns in your court. Do you require the exploit of pronouns? Explaining your own pronouns in your court?

Kasubhai looked visibly uncomfortable as he answered the question and stammered, “It’s an invitation for people to identify their pronouns or their honorifics.”

KENNEDY: I’m looking at the requirement that you have imposed on everyone in your court. You say, “When introducing yourself in a meeting, you should say, ‘My name is Judge ___ and my pronouns are ___.'” Is that true?

KASUBHAI: Senator, these were not requirements or rules, these were suggestions and invitations that people should take advantage of.

This is where Kennedy’s seatmate, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), begins to lose his temper.

KENNEDY: And you also say in your instructions: “I would like the council to introduce themselves by stating your full name and title of honor, e.g. E.g. Ms., Mx or Mr..”

It’s the “Mx”. Tom Cotton did this first, and who can blame him? It’s hilarious, made-up stuff that deserves to be laughed at, which voters seemed to agree with last week. When Kennedy noticed that “Mrs.” was not in Judge Kasubhai’s instructions, Cotton completely lost track.

Worth a look:

On this point, we’re all Tom Cotton, laughing at the Democrats as the vise tightens around them. Not only are they in political exile, they have not yet recognized that one of the messages voters sent them last week was a complete rejection of the pronoun “trash” promoted by radicals like Justice Kasubhai. It will likely receive last-minute approval from Senate Democrats, but its nonsensical label of “justice” will quickly be rejected by the American electorate.

Democrats will be busy pushing these left-wing judges to the bench in the next few weeks, and you can be sure there are more epic John Kennedy moments to come.
