WATCH: Joy Reid’s wild remarks to Trump supporters over Thanksgiving

We reported on the half-joking/perhaps earnest discussion between Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr. about Musk possibly buying MSNBC after their ratings decline and Comcast possibly splitting MSNBC and some of their other companies into a separate entity as a prelude to the sale . The prospect of a sale and the possibility of people getting locked up must be making the “talent” at MSNBC nervous. Added to this is the prospect that Musk could buy the network and then control its fate. That would really drive her crazy.

Imagine what Joy Reid would do. With her bizarre comments about race, the economy and why Trump won, she’s already showing that she can’t stand a Trump win, as we’ve previously reported.

But then there were those wild comments she made to Trump supporters, explaining to them why they should accept it if friends or family didn’t want to be with them for Thanksgiving. She claimed Trump was putting one together “Cabinet of Horrors” and ranted about Project 2025 (which Trump has nothing to do with). But then she really overdid it. It’s perhaps particularly comical because she seems to make these comments in a whisper and as if she’s looking over her shoulder.

“People are rightly alarmed. “You have reason to be alarmed,” Reid argued.

“And if – if you voted for it, people might not feel as confident that they’re safe with you. “It’s not crazy,” she insisted. Yes that’s it.

These are legitimate feelings of fear of you and the feeling that you may not be someone they can trust. When things go way down, autocracies go down very quickly, and things get ugly, and people are required to do things, report people, betray people, and turn against them. And if you vote for it with joy, people might, I don’t know, not have as much trust in you. This is real and you have to live with it somehow. So if you think that you can vote for what people see as their destruction and then demand that they still be frigid with you and do Kiki with you and have Thanksgiving with you, then I believe you somehow missing the point people are upset about it. They are afraid. And autocracy and fascism are things to legitimately fear. So you might want to take a step back.

No, this crazy reaction is not a legitimate reaction. Trump supporters didn’t vote for autocracy, they voted for better government. Because you see Hitler coming out of the bushes, that’s not reality.

But the comical thing is that it was the Democrats who called for people to be reported during the Corona crisis for not wearing masks, not getting vaccinated or violating “rules/requirements”. It wasn’t the Republicans who stood for freedom. They were Reid’s people, so maybe she should “take a step back” when talking about autocracies.

While Trump supporters have every reason to be upset with people who may have voted for Kamala Harris after years of seeing how bad a Biden-Harris administration was, it’s not Trump supporters who are talking about it , family or friends to cut off thanksgiving.

Plus, she talks to Trump supporters? Why should Trump supporters take advice from Joy Reid? But it definitely reaffirms how far out in her mind she is.

It’s perhaps not surprising that MSNBC’s ratings are plummeting when people like this are constantly spouting nonsense.
