Things are heating up in the race for the Texas Senate, where Democrat Colin Allred wants to replace Republican Ted Cruz. Democrats have been trying to turn Texas blue for years, and Ted Cruz stands in their way every six years. Cruz is a popular target of the left because he is an outspoken and unwavering champion of freedom – he drives them crazy and is fun to watch.
Allred is in his third term in Congress, representing Texas’ 32nd Congressional District. During his time in DC, he joined other leftists in voting against the Protection of Women and Girls Act 2023which would have strengthened Title IX protections and ensured a level playing field for women’s and girls’ sports. Texas girls are tough, resilient and robust. But now they face an opponent they cannot defeat by digging deeper or trying harder. Colin Allred claims to stand up for the women of Texas, but he voted against the Protection of Women and Girls Act of 2023. He sided with woke progressives and radical Democrats, not our daughters. What kind of man does that?
The words in the ad get the point across, but it’s the images that really pack the punch: Young women are enjoying a flag football game when one of them is hit by a high guy dressed as a woman, is attacked – and probably injured. And there stands a man in an “Allred” shirt, watching the whole thing with approval. This point can’t really be argued; If, like Colin Allred, you vote against protecting women in sport, then you are endorsing the harm that will surely result.
What’s special about Allred’s support of men in women’s sports is that he was an athlete himself, playing basketball, baseball and football in high school and even earning a football scholarship to Baylor University. Colin Allred was more than ecstatic to reap the benefits of playing his sport at a high level, but has no problem denying those opportunities to women hoping to achieve the same in their sport.
What kind of man does that? A real man doesn’t do that, but Colin Allred does.
Allred’s team was apoplectic for display:
“This is a disgusting, false attack and another example of how Ted Cruz only wants to divide Texans,” Allred campaign spokesman Josh Stewart told Fox News Digital.
“He will say anything to distract from his dangerous abortion ban, endangering women’s lives, trying to raise the retirement age for Social Security and Medicare, and fleeing to Cancun during a deadly winter storm.”
Abortion. Yay, yay, yay. As if Colin Allred doesn’t care at all that women’s lives are in danger; He demonstrably doesn’t do that.
As RedState reported yesterday, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which is currently spending $0 on the Ohio Senate race, has decided to dedicate resources to the Texas and Florida races in hopes of winning over Cruz and Rick Scott. With a Republican strategist, they are sedate about turning these states blue remark“But Republicans should not take lightly the threat of losing this state. As the Republican Party goes for the blue states, the Democrats will start going for the red states…To hold onto these seats, Republicans must remain disciplined in messaging and prioritizing candidate recruiting. Protecting women and girls is a winning message.
The recent ad is part of a $3 million advertising effort from Truth and Courage PAC and will air across Texas.
