It’s been about two seconds since Donald Trump announced Pam Bondi as his pick to replace Matt Gaetz as his nominee for attorney general, and right on cue, MSNBC’s leftists are in complete nervous breakdown mode.
As RedState’s Susie Moore reported Thursday evening, President-elect Trump said in his nomination announcement:
For too long the partisan Justice Department has been used as a weapon against me and other Republicans – no more. Pam will refocus the DOJ on its intended purpose of fighting crime and making America secure again. I have known Pam for many years – she is shrewd and tough and an AMERICA FIRST fighter who will do a great job as Attorney General!
It looks like Democrats are scared of the idea of Pam Bondi heading the Justice Department, according to a segment that aired Thursday on MSNBC. One guest, Jason Johnson, a political science professor at Morgan State University, said Bondi was both “competent” and “dangerous.”

Pam Bondi is what we should all fear because she is competent. We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually knows how to do this job. So if anyone on the Democratic side or anyone or anyone who cares about freedom and justice thought, “Maybe Matt Gaetz will screw this up and that will give us some time” – well, no.
Pam Bondi knows what she’s doing. She knows what she is doing on immigration. Remember, Florida was one of those states that was very aggressive about migrants, deportations and moving people to other states. And everything else like that. Florida has passed all sorts of rules and laws to restrict students and their opportunities on campus and to find legal justifications for manipulating education funds.
It is a perilous and effective choice. And that is, frankly, worse than what we would have achieved with Matt Gaetz, despite his deplorable moral background.
This is a infrequent piece of honesty airing on MSNBC’s airwaves. Pam Bondi is a blockbuster choice by Trump and it’s clear that Democrats are taken aback and are rushing to figure out how to handle a robust woman nominated for such an crucial role.
Of course, these are just the left’s initial reactions, and you can bet the attacks will only get worse as the confirmation process progresses. Look, Pam Bondi is the kind of woman who drives Democrats crazy – she’s shrewd, she’s pretty, she’s ambitious, she gets results, and she doesn’t like being made stupid. And, boy, has the left been acting like idiots for a long time. That’s why they’re scaring people about her nomination.
The question must be asked: What are they so afraid of? If they haven’t done anything wrong or illegal, there’s really nothing to fear from Pam Bondi. Unlike her Democratic counterparts, she is unlikely to engage in baseless, partisan witch hunts against her opponents. So what’s behind the fear?
Not that that would intimidate someone like Pam Bondi, but we’ve all seen what happens when a conservative woman gets a prominent role on the national stage. They went through Sarah Palin’s trash cans when she was the vice presidential candidate, for heaven’s sake; that’s how low they will sink.
Republicans must be prepared to fight for Pam Bondi because we know the left saves its worst for women. Buckle up friends, this is going to be good.
