As RedState previously reported, Democrats and the mainstream media have completely lost their minds over Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s massive Madison Square Garden rally.
One of the most shameful reactions from the left/press after Sunday’s successful rally were the comments made by Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
Unsurprisingly, Walz seized on smears from the likes of twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, telling an audience in Nevada, “There is a direct parallel to a large rally that took place at Madison Square Garden in the mid-1930s.”
Although he did not elaborate on how he came to this conclusion, it was a rather strange statement given the significant Jewish presence at the event, where Israeli flags were prominently displayed.

They were comments that I thought were reminiscent of Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” insult, for which she later apologized recommended after the election was one of the reasons for their humiliating defeat in 2016.
Walz’s comments were the kind that, once made, are hard for a candidate for public office to take back. But incredibly, the Minnesota governor doesn’t even seem to want that, as evidenced by his failure to answer multiple questions about his statements.
Watch Walz get asked three times by a Wisconsin man below reporter Monday if he stands by his claims. Walz looks uncomfortable the whole time and keeps trying to avoid it, but never takes back anything he said:
“Look, I compare it to the hatred that came from it, and I think they confirmed that.”

As you watch, keep in mind that a speech Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will give later on Tuesday will reportedly be about “unity.” And yet her choice as a candidate has no problem equating supporters of her opponents with Nazis, and even doubled down when asked if he really believed in the nonsense he was spreading.

To make matters worse, as far as I know, Harris has not been asked to disavow Walz’s comments, nor has she made any statement of her own, which tells me she doesn’t seem to have a problem with his comments.
In my opinion, the Trump campaign should consolidate all of Walz’s statements (and Clinton’s as well) on this issue and run them on a loop from now until November 5th, just to remind any voters who are still undecided to remember what’s at stake The Democratic presidential nomination is thinking about half of this country. It’s truly one of those “decisive moments” in a presidential campaign, and one that should be decisively – and clearly – rejected at the ballot box in a week’s time.
