Donald Trump is making America fun again.
After four years of grumpy-faced Democrats chiding us with “I’m talking” attitudes and other nonsense, Americans are ready to dance again. And the Staten Island GOP (SIGOP) took full advantage of that feeling Friday by organizing a “Trump Dance” flash mob.
It looks like the event came together fairly quickly, as SIGOP only posted about it on Wednesday. They encouraged local residents to join together with politicians and celebrities to burn some Thanksgiving calories at the YMCA.

The goal was to show their support for President-elect Trump while having some good old-fashioned fun.

How much fun are they having?
Many Americans have breathed a collective sigh of relief since Trump won a return to the White House, and they don’t care who knows it. This may be one of Donald Trump’s greatest gifts to the country: It’s okay to reject the grinches on the left and have fun.
It is also heartening to note that it was the GOP that organized such a fun event. The Republicans? The dull party? The country club snobs party? The liquor of brandy and cognac? No longer. The mood is very different now, and it’s gratifying to see that some in the Republican Party understand that.
This is the power of Donald Trump. As RedState’s Bob Hoge reported, Trump’s reach is so great that he sent his modern theme song right back to the top of the charts.
As we’ve reported, the “Trump Dance” has taken the country – and even the world – by storm, as athletes perform it in celebration, supporters spontaneously break into restaurants and people post videos of themselves dancing to social media thousands.
The song that inspired Trump’s dance moves is, of course, the Village People’s 1978 hit “YMCA.” Although the song has remained popular over the years, it is often played at weddings and parties, where revelers sing the letters shape her arms in accordance with the text, it is now enjoy a resurgence– and brought the catchy tune straight to the top of the charts.
The success of Friday’s flash mob is further proof that Donald Trump was sedate Burglaries in New York State this election year.
Donald Trump may not have won New York, but preliminary data from this week’s election suggests his home state has shifted to the right: The president-elect won over 43% of the state, more than any Republican presidential candidate since at least 1996. So did he won almost a third of all votes in NYCimproving his margins in every district since 2020 — particularly in areas with huge numbers of Asian American and Latino voters.
Finally, note how the right is reacting to the election results. They dance, they have fun, they want everyone to join in. This is a stark contrast to the left, which vandalizes cities, burns cars and incites violence whether it wins or loses. Don’t think for a minute that American voters haven’t seen what the left has done to be seen as powerful and unsafe; We saw it and voted against it.
