WATCH: Tulsi Gabbard goes after Harris again, this time over MSNBC’s misleading editing of the Joe Rogan video

If there is anyone who is Vice President Kamala Harris’ nemesis – in the way that the Joker is Batman’s steadfast arch-enemy in the masked avenger’s comics and film franchises – it is former Hawaii congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard.

If anyone reading this doesn’t know the history, it’s sheltered to say that it was Gabbard who delivered the final blow to Harris’ already listless presidential hopes during a CNN debate in the summer of 2019, ahead of the Iowa caucuses the following January. (And if it didn’t happen then, another debate in November put paid to it—also courtesy of Tulsi.) If you missed the debate where that happened, here’s the proof.

Gabbard released one of her infamous videos bashing Harris on Friday, the same day Harris became the official Democratic nominee through a virtual roll call vote ahead of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), which will take place in Chicago in about two weeks.

A toast to “democracy”:

BREAKING NEWS: Kamala Harris is officially the Democratic presidential candidate

Before we get into Tulsi’s statements, it’s crucial to look at the dishonest move by the Harris campaign’s social media shop on Thursday. As I wrote last night, they attempted to drive all of America crazy with a heavily edited transcript of the candidate’s statements at Joint Base Andrews:

The ultimate hubris:

Campaign X-Account unsuccessfully tries to mislead us with Harris’ word salad for Americans returning to US soil

In a recent video she posted on X on Friday, she said “aloha” again, and her comments have not only irked the Democratic presidential candidate, but also the campaign’s allies in the “elite media” like MSNBC.

In addition to the tiny clip, Gabbard’s post also tells the story, so I’ll reproduce it in full rather than try to express it differently:

MSNBC is once again exposed as a propaganda machine of the Democratic elite and shows how brazenly they are trying to deceive the American people.

In one part of the video @joerogan was talking about Kamala, in another part of the video he was talking about me. MSNBC put it all together to make it look like everything that was said was about Kamala and that he was supporting her. This is of course completely false.

In addition, their failure to report their propaganda as a contribution to Kamala’s campaign is another violation of FEC law.

And that’s exactly what’s happening right now. Look for red flags like “She served overseas twice… in a medical unit” and “She was a congresswoman for eight years.” None of these quotes describe Kamala Harris’ background. As Gabbard says after the incoherent, misleadingly edited video, “That doesn’t reflect the truth of what Joe Rogan said at all,” and mentions that MSNBC has since taken the video offline.

But her next statement is the more crucial part of it:

What is really sedate here is that not only does Joe Rogan deserve an apology, but there is actually something bigger at stake here. This is another example of MSNBC working hand in hand with the Democratic elite and the Kamala Harris campaign to try to spread lies… which they do through their [for-profit] Platform would be considered an in-kind contribution to their campaign.

Gabbard said the Federal Election Commission must investigate why she did not report this as a donation – or “[punish]” She accused them of abusing their position by not following the law. Finally, she called MSNBC exactly what it is: a “propaganda” arm of the Democrats’ political “machine.”

It’s great when people who don’t necessarily believe everything the Republican Party or the conservative movement does stand up and call attention to what the left is up to. Thanks, Tulsi!
