Charleston, WV (Wowk) – Tuesday was the last day on which legislators introduce recent bills in the house. However, it was not a bill that led to most debates on the floor, but a change.

The change in question would enable someone to drive a motorcycle without a helmet in West Virginia. At the moment, neighboring Ohio and Kentucky have no helmsmiths, and that say for the change that the helmet law of West Virginia violates tourism.

However, those against the change say that removing the helmet law would lead to more accidents and higher insurance premiums.

“This is not a freedom for me.” This corporation recently initiated laws on food dyes to hopefully save life. I ask for the consideration of everyone on this topic. With my over 30 years in the insurance industry, I can assure that you will find significant changes in interest rates if you implement the change in gentleman. Please vote no. “

Some Republicans felt different from Hott.

“I have a motorcycle.” I encourage everyone to roll back a little from the Nanny state and to support the change of the Lord. ”

Ultimately, the change in the republican delegate David Foggin was rejected by a voice of 41 to 54.

The house coordinates the full bill on motorcycle security on Wednesday.

In addition to the introduction and debating of the legislation, legislators passed two laws in the lower chamber, which are now committed to the Senate.

A draft law refers to the training for law enforcement officers and the other legislation clarifies the legal requirements for the coordination of elections in West Virginia.

The Democrat John Williams from the Monongalia district exposed itself with the last calculation and said it was a waste of time to discuss at all.

“We no longer have any ideas, but no more problems,” said Williams. “This will not do anything for the nursing crisis. This will do nothing to do new jobs. This is only something we can say in order to make our elections safer so that we cannot vote for state members. Advice what the law of the country has been since the beginning of this country.”

The Republican delegate JB Akers defended the voting law law.

“This is not a copy and insertion calculation,” said Akers, who represents Kanawha County. “If we want to talk about whether we can achieve things, I would like to remind everyone that the very first calculation that this position has passed this year was to expand the foster family services.”

On the other side of the hall, senators still have a week to introduce invoices in the upper chamber.
