West Virginia House Democrats start a multiple-stop kitchen table this week to contact the residents before the start of the legislative period in 2026 and to discuss urgent topics.
The tour will include 10 stations, starting with a Huntington on Thursday.
Between September 15 and November 3., there are other stops in Martinburg, Morgantown, Charleston, Fairmont, Wheeling, Gilbert, Lewisburg, Flatwoods and Beckley. Visit the Facebook page of the house democracy Information on certain events.
House minority Sean Hornbuckle, D-Cabell, said in a statement that members with West Virginians come into contact with West Virginians and would like to learn more about the problems with which they are faced with their daily life.
“Our state, which is currently being driven by the striving of republican super majority after political power and propaganda, has left the West Virgine back,” said Hornbuckle. “The house democrats want to contact all corners of the state, all parties and all areas of life in order to have real conversations and to concentrate on what is really important in our communities.”
The Democrats currently have nine out of 100 seats in the delegate of the State House of Delegates, while the Republicans have a super majority in both chambers.
In view of the up-to-date state leadership under the Republican governor Patrick Morrisey, Hornbuckle said that it is disappointing to see the legislator [and] Clean drinking water. “
“Things have to change because West Virginians earn it better,” he said.
