New York (AP)-Zohran Mamdani explained on Tuesday evening in the democratic mayor of the Democratic Mayor, after Andrew Cuomo granted the race in a breathtaking surprise when the youthful, progressive rise, which was practically unknown when the competition began a significant lead over the more experienced but scandalian former governor.

Although the ultimate result of the race is still decided by a ranking, Mamdani took a command position just a few hours after completing the surveys.

With the victory, Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist who led an energetic campaign through the cost of living, was the supporters: “I will be her democratic candidate for the mayor of New York City.

“I will be the mayor for every New York, regardless of whether they voted for me, governor Cuomo, or felt disillusioned by a long -term political system to vote at all,” he said. “I will work to be mayor. You will be proud to call your own.”

Cuomo, who was the choice during a race that was his comeback from a scandal to harass sexual harassment, admitted the election and said a lot that he called Mamdani to congratulate him.

“This evening is his night. He deserves it. He won,” Cuomo told the followers.

Cuomo left Mamdani in the first election ballot papers with a significant lead and stood an extremely arduous way to catch up when the ballot papers were redistributed in the election process in New York City.

Mamdani, a member of the State Assembly since 2021, would be the first Muslim and Indian American mayor of the city if it is elected. The incumbent mayor Eric Adams skipped them. It runs as independence in the general elections. Cuomo also has the opportunity to carry out the general elections.

“We will take a look at it and make some decisions,” said Cuomo.

Cuomo and Mamdani were a study with political contrasts and could have occurred for the ideological gap of the larger democratic party, with a candidate a freshly secured and the other is older.

Cuomo described the city as a threatening, out of control, which desperately after an experienced guide who was able to restore order. He brought the power of a political dynasty into the breed and secured an impressive selection of essential local guides and working groups, while political action committees that support his campaign were created in proud sums of cash.

Mamdani now offered an hopeful message that life in the city could improve under his agenda, which was the idea that a mayor has the power to do things that reduce the cost of living. The party’s progressive wing gathered behind him and he secured two of the country’s leading progressive, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Bernie Sanders.

Unofficial results from the election board of the New York City showed that Mamdani was classified on more ballot papers than Cuomo. Mamdani was listed as a second election by tens of thousands of more voters as Cuomo. And the number of voices that can be incorporated into the choice of ranking will certainly shrink. More than 200,000 voters only listed a first choice, as the Board of Elections results show that Mamdani’s performance in the first round could ultimately be sufficient to eliminate the 50% threshold.

The ultimate result of the race could say something about the type of leader the Democrats are looking for during the second term of President Donald Trump.

The main winner will run the incumbent Adam, a democrat who decided, as independent in the middle of a public turmoil for his indictment against allegations of corruption and the subsequent task of the case by Trump Ministry of Justice. The Republican Curtis Sliwa, the founder of the Guardian Angels, will be on the ballot in the general elections of the autumn.

The rest of the pack tried to be recognized in a race in which almost every candidate has occupied himself as the person positioned best to challenge Trump’s agenda.

The compatroller Brad Lander, a liberal city government, made a sensation last week when he was arrested after he had stuck weapons with a man with a man with an immigration court in Manhattan. In the last weeks of the race, Lander and Mamdani supported each other to escalate their collective support and the offer of Cuomo as part of the electoral system.

The other candidates include Adrienne Adams, Senator Zellnor Myrie, hedge -fund -Executive Whitney Tilson and former City Comptroller Scott Stringer.

Mamdanis Braot Run was arduous to notice.

His army of youthful linen hikes knocked relentlessly on doors across the city and looked for support. Posters of his grinning cup were under the shop windows. They could not come on social media without seeing one of his well-produced videos that take up his vision-free buses, free childcare, modern apartments, a higher minimum wage and more that were paid for by modern taxes on wealthy people.

This youthful energy was obvious on Tuesday evening, since both carefully hopeful canvases and ecstatic followers set the streets of Central Brooklyn on a sizzling heated summer day and create a party-like atmosphere that spread from polling locations into the surrounding quarter.

Amani Kojo, a 23-year-old for the first time, caught up his family’s Caribbean pharmacist to Mamdani Canvasser and encouraged her to stay hydrated.

“It is 100 degrees outside and it’s a mood. New York City feels alive again,” said Kojo and raised a bunch of Mamdani brochures. “It feels very electrical to see all the people, the flyer, all the contributions on my Instagram all day.”

Cuomo and some other democrats have occupied Mamdani as unqualified. They say that he does not have the management chops to argue the extensive bureaucracy of the city or to cope with crises. Critics have also campaigned for the support of Mamdani for the Palestinian human rights.

In response to this, Mamdani Cuomo beat his scandal for sexual harassment and dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic.

Cuomo resigned in 2021 after a report commissioned by the Attorney General came to the conclusion that he had sexually harassed at least 11 women. He always said that he did not intentionally harass the women and said that he simply fell behind the respected behavior at the workplace.
